Michael, You Are My Father
Posted in Uncategorized on July 24, 2008 by JamesAGR,Lucasfilms, and Blockbuster have once again collaborated on a new paint scheme for the #26 dallara for the upcoming Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma. While Indiana Jones was on the sidepods of Andretti’s car for the Indy 500 and Milwaukee Mile, the new Lucasfilm, Star Wars: The Clone Wars will find its way on the track via the #26 car. “I can’t wait to roll out the Clone Wars car at Infineon,” said Andretti. “I had a lot of fun with the Indiana Jones car at the Indy 500 and I’m hoping that my upcoming battle at Infineon will be as exciting as anything in a Star Wars movie so I can win it for both Blockbuster and Lucasfilm.” More photos of the car can be found in the photos section of the blog, located to the right of the page.

ESPN 1st & 10 on “Towel Gate”
Posted in IRL on July 22, 2008 by JamesThe ESPN 1st and 10 guys take on “towel gate”. Say what you want about the incident but it is great publicity. In a normal week there is no way that any racing would make it to channels such as 1st & 10, Jim Rome is burning, or Inside Edition, but this is no ordinary week.
Penske,Ganassi Skipping Surfers Paradise?
Posted in Uncategorized on July 22, 2008 by JamesWell thats the report out of Australia. In a story written by Mary Mendez, Mike Hull (Ganassi Managing Director) said ” The cost of the two extra races this season is’nt even close to the team incetitive package increase of $100,000″ and goes on to say “These two additional races were not in our budget this season.” Personally I dont believe that Australia has anything to worry about. Come October I expect a full fleat of Dallara’s racing the Gold Coast 300 street course, including Briscoe,Castroneves,Dixon and Wheldon.
Ding,Ding,Ding, Danica vs. Milka Round One
Posted in Uncategorized on July 22, 2008 by JamesIn the latest and possibly greatest of Danica run ins, She and Milka had a little pit box confrontation during practice for the 2nd annual Mid Ohio Indycar Race. After several near accidents between Danica Patrick and the much slower Milka Duno, it all hit the fan when Danica dropped a few choice words and in return she received a towel in the face, not once but twice. My personal favorite part of “towel gate” has to be the guy that just jumped in between them leaning against the box as if nothing was happening. Definitely a classic moment. Say what you want about the incident (comments are welcome) but this is a great thing as its not only been all over ABC/ESPN family of networks but every local news station in North America, I’ve even seen it on Inside Edition of all places.
Forsythe Just Couldn’t Resist
Posted in Uncategorized on July 22, 2008 by JamesIt’s official, Forsythe is back in Indy Racing. Well not the Indycar Series (yet) but he will be back in the IRL feeder series of the Indy Lights coming 2009. Its another step in the right direction for the survival of American Open Wheel Racing, and another possible landing spot for Paul Tracy in the IRL come 2009.
